Hawaii's gonna miss you Don!
When I first started at the Beachcomber, I used to see this man walk around casually in a hectic kitchen; very friendly and cordial to the kitchen staff. Come to find out, it was Don Ho, himself, "talking story" with the behind-the-scene crew.
He is surely gonna be missed!!! Someone so humble, funny, indescribable.... Have a peaceful Journey, peaceful Rest. (Ehhh, rest? Nah, I think he's playing music for one Luau up there now) Aloha, Mr. Ho!! Thank you for the fond memories!
We will miss your Tiny Bubbles. I just found Don's first album in Calif on my trip on the day he died. Don Ho was Mr. Hawaii. He was a legend and will be missed.
Mr. Ho will be missed by so many that he touched. Mr. Ho will be missed by the old and young. Mr. Ho was truly Mr. Hawaii. Thank Mr. Ho for the memories, and tiny bubbles.
Aloha & Fairwell to our tiny bubbles man. May our Lord Jesus keep you in his heart forever more. Aloha, Tim & Ada Anderson
"I'll Remember You Mr. Tiny Bubbles, from the 60's with the Aliis through 2007. May God Bless your family."
I remember the Suck'em Up Show at the International Market Place. I played with Da Nuuanu Brothers back then and we would bring in over 50 people (all family) to see the show. He'd give us great advice after the show and I had passed that great advice down to my son who is also a part time musician and driver for OTS Handi Van. You shall always be Pops to me and many other entertainers out there. Our love goes out to Haumea and the rest of the ohana. You'll be sorely missed but never forgotten. A Hui Hou! Braddah Sam
Don Ho...you are singing with the Angels in Heaven. Probably having a Mai Tai too...suck em up brah...Aloha Nui Loa
I'am part of the Hopkins Family from Lanikai. I grew up during my teens walking the beach in the mornings and always talking story with Uncle Don during all of the 70's. We would talk story about out family history, fishing at Lanikai and our dogs. We shared some priceless mornings with the glorious sunrises of Lanikai, These moments are etched in my mind forever. I saw uncle Don a few months ago at the Kaimuki city mill after his heart procedure, we both were doing renovatiion and handyman shopping and we talked story again and remembered those moments. Uncle Don Aloha and God bless to all your family.

My husband and I had the privilege to see Don and his daughter Hoku perform at the Beachcomber in February of this year, on my very first trip to Hawaii. I wanted to see him because he was an icon I remembered from my childhood, watching him on TV specials (including his appearance on the Brady Bunch!). It was wonderful to have the opportunity to meet him before the show, and have our picture taken with him. I hope that a statue and/or memorial will be constructed in his honor in Waikiki. He will be missed- my condolences to the Ho family. Mahalo and aloha, Don.
Mr. Don Ho personified the Aloha Spirit for many a visitor here to these islands. His act was a must see and Lord knows, Don Ho did so much to promote Hawai'i that we can never fathom his full impact to our economy. Way way beyond that, Uncle Don opened the doors for many a protege - that's the way he was, always promoting the up and coming local talent. In our hustle and bustle Honolulu of today, we should reflect on Uncle Don's "Ain't no beeg ting bruddah" attitude and promote his brand of Aloha. We will miss you Uncle Don and we will try to "hang loose" and remember that it's the people who make Hawai'i a special place. Aloha and may God Bless his family and friends.
No Unckle it is we who wilREMEMBER YOU
ok so I went public school...No uncle we will remember you
a hui hou!
Don Ho has been in my life since 1964...my 8 trac in the 60's...my cassettes and cd's today, and for 27 years I spent in the military, he was with me everyday, wherever I was, people all over the world heard his music...He was great, people loved him! Listening to his music kept hawaii born soldiers serving in places far away, close to home...looking forward to the day, that they would return to there own island by the sea...Tony Divina "Beautiful Kaua'i"

When I first got here in 1966, I used to go to the Marketplace and sing along with Don Ho and his ali'is. My mother and sisters were in love with him and I loved him too. What a great man. He will be missed. Aloha, Don
