Aloha, All.... Jon J., here... Thanks for waiting, I realize this strip is almost 2 weeks late... Been going through a lot including trying to retrieve files off a dead laptop (stress stress stress), and working with fellow cartoonist, Deb Aoki, to put together some of our college strips into one big collection! Also preparing for book signings at the Ward Borders, the Honolulu Zoo, the Hawaii Book Festival, and gonna also be at the Kawaii-Kon - the anime convention at the Hawaii Convention Center later this month. I'll post more when I have more info. Oh yeah, I realize that this is a long strip which surpasses the length of last April's comic strip about Cosplaying, but I figure this one's both informative and entertaining... -Thanks for reading - jon j.
Hey, everybody... OK-PLUG TIME: Here's where I'll be this month- FRI-SUN 4/27-4/29 w/ cartoonist Deb Aoki @ the Kawaii-Kon at the Hawaii Convention Center, Artists Alley ~12 noon-6pm-ish (we haven't decided if we're staying longer or not, depends on the con turnout).
(Hey I just realized it's Friday the 13th today...) ON SUNDAY 4/29, Deb & I will sneak out of the Anime Con for a little while to go to a BOOK SIGNING for our new compilation book "SLICE O' LIFE/THE UNIVERSITY OF DIVERSE CITY" at BORDERS WARD CENTRE 12:00 noon 4/29 SUNDAY. If you can't make it to the con, hopfully we'll see you there at Borders... (We're crossing our fingers that our book will be out by then... otherwise we'll be pushng our previous children's books...)
Oh, I love 'gatchapons'...sigh, too little cash, not enough space...And those tiny plastic food replicas from mechahawaii...Considering Nishi's luck, not having a Wii may be best, as he may end up a star on 'wiidamage.com'...Good luck on the collection, and at Kawaii-kon!!
