Hiya hiya, gang! Sorry i'm late again, but here's my commemoration to Hawai‘i's 50th year of statehood. Originally i was gonna color the whole thing and make a list of things to look for - but seeing how this strip will be only up for a week more... i said ferget it - lol. Take a good look and you'll see 90% of my characters in here including the UDC cast, E.M.P.I.R.E., Gordon Rider, Calabash, Generation Gap, all my children's books, and of course Nishi, Mei, Ninja Mongoose, and the crew from Online Aloha. Thanks all - jon j.
hi jon. i couldn't find you. are you in here somewhere? i was also looking for that pinhead-looking character you always used to put on the edge of your comics. what was his name? i have to look it up. nice to see all the different characters that you have created over the decades. aloha, andrea
Aloha, Andrea... lol - You know, it's been 17 years since UDC, so i totally forgot about Stan the Stickman. Since then has been a plethora of characters and series that have evolved through the years. BTW - I'm in the right corner leaning over. - Thanks for writing - jon j.
Cooooool!!! It's nice to see the E.M.P.I.R.E. guys again, it's been SOOOOO long! [BTW, still waiting for the next episode and the "Small Kid Time" version, they both rocked!!!] And, of course, YAAAAY Gordon Rider!!!
E.M.P.I.R.E. was a bunch of 5 thieves (about 3 rows down from the top) that was an homage to my favorite comic, Lupin III. The great thing about this series is that there was no dialogue throughout the comic. This debuted in 2006 from a local publications called Pagers Comics Anthology. Thanks for remembering. - Jon J.
Aloha & Happy 50th Statehood,
Jon your art work is wonderful, keep up the great work!

Thanks so much, Deborah. I kinda killed myself over this piece. I did a similar toon for the Star-Bulletin, but it was no where NEAR as insane as this one. As always, thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it. -jon j.
So, Gang - I finally cracked down and got an iPhone - AND I'm on twitter. So go ahead and look for me, read my mindless thoughts, and keep an eye out for my daily 80's mention cartoons of the day... -jon j.
