Aloha Gang... well... This month marks the month I turn the big 4-0... So I figured this would be a good time to discuss this month's topic... 40 Ways How I Knew I Was Turning Old.

Aloha ridingbright - Yeah - I miss Castle Park - the bumper boats, the mini-car racing, mini golf, and they had great video games including The Real Ghostbusters and the sit down Star Trek vector game. Thanks for writing in. -jon j.

ALoha raiolap001 - you're right! Kam drive-in was the best. I remember Skateland, the Sky Slide, and Bowl-a-Drome. Fortunately Aiea & Leeward are still around. I do miss Skateland too (sigh). Thanks for commenting :D - jon j.

Aloha, viviani. Thank you - People need to know that you were my 5-6th grade teacher and I can't emphasize this enough: It's people like you who encouraged, nurtured, and promoted my creativity as a young impressionable age that got me to where I am today. I can't tell you how much I owe you for helping me always think outside the box. (btw you forgot Peanuts, remember you forbad me from drawing Snoopy in the classroom) Glad you are still following my work and we'll see about another 40 years ^_^ - thanks so much for writing in - much Aloha!

You know you're getting old when you walk around UH and you notice coeds looking at you and smiling and you realize it's probably because they miss their dads.

happy birthday jon. wow, this is a scary list of getting old facts. it's so true. i walk to a room to get something then can't remember what it was. wait till your eye sight starts changing. to me, this is something really scary. i love to read and knit, and it's starting to get blurry. i remember watching checkers and pogo, ala moana shopping center used to have a big sand box (and penguins, or this might just be my imagination), and the NBC (blaisdell) used to be HIC. aloha, andrea
