10,000 B.C.
Rated 5.0 Stars
If 10,000 B.C. was marketed as a fantasy adventure, maybe critics and audiences alike would have not been so disappointed. But with the expectation that this was a dramatic action adventure film, the historical inaccuracies and generic story line left me deceived and unsatisfied. More »

Sex and the City: The Movie
Let me start off by clarifying that I am a huge fan of the show Sex and the City. Of course, I am the movie's target audience: single twenty-something female. I have the entire series in my DVD collection and even after four years since the show ended, I still watch the episodes with much pleasure and amusement. Needless to say, when Sex and the City: The Movie released in theatres, I was there opening weekend with the rest of the crowd. More »

Spider-Man 3
Just moments after the opening credit sequence began, I was already swept back into the story of Spider-Man. The camera slid between clips from the previous two films to recapture the characters that helped to create this great tale. Director Sam Raimi creatively carried the audience back into the adventurous world of Spider-Man through this skillful introduction. More »

Hard Candy
Rarely do movies have only two actors. In Before Sunrise (1995), the audience follows two characters as they meet and fall in love. The characters in Hard Candy do exactly the opposite - they try to kill each other. True, it is extremely difficult to interest an audience with only two actors on screen, but the story, acting and directing was so incredibly mesmerizing, it didn't even feel like I was watching a film. Q & A With Actor Shunsuke Ikeda
Rated 5.0 Stars
I recently returned from our world premiere of Blood of the Samurai 2 and Ninja EX in Japan! Wow... talk about an incredible experience! We were invited to screen at Toei Studios (also known as Eigamura) and at the highly prestigious Ritsumeikan Universty in Kyoto. Having my work play in Japan was such an incredible dream come true. Ocean's Thirteen
Once again, Ocean's gang proves they can outsmart anyone and still look cool at the same time. While their membership count is gradually increasing, the group remains a tightly-knit team. Simply put, Ocean's Thirteen - and all the other Ocean films for that matter - is fun to watch. More »

Made of Honor
Patrick Dempsey's McDreamy in the hit show Grey's Anatomy cares about people so the audience cares about him. However, Dempsey's character Tom in Made of Honor apparently has no morals or ethics so why should the audience care what happens to him? Not only does he fail to heat up the screen in Made of Honor, Dempsey proves he is actually not 'made of honor.' More »

Hollywoodland
Often fans cannot see the difference between the actor and the character. We think if the character is suave, heroic and intelligent, the actor must be as well. This is a double-identity crisis, the meaning I interpreted behind Hollywoodland. Hollywood has been represented as another 'land,' another society. More »

Juno
Rated 5.0 Stars
Juno was one of the most oddly surprising movies of 2007. Much like Little Miss Sunshine (2006), the story focuses on the journey rather than the destination. We experience the relationships between people and a strange, but loving family dynamic created by screenwriter Diablo Cody. More »

Q & A with Sonny Chiba

Living and working in Hong Kong was such an incredible experience. The people, the food, the shopping, the culture, the high technology, the sights, the sounds…I LOVE HONG KONG!  If you haven’t visited before, I would highly recommend Hong Kong as the place to check out and visit.  Hong Kong is an exciting and amazing city!
