If 10,000 B.C. was marketed as a fantasy adventure, maybe critics and audiences alike would have not been so disappointed. But with the expectation that this was a dramatic action adventure film, the historical inaccuracies and generic story line left me deceived and unsatisfied. More »

After nearly thirty years since Richard Donner's original Superman movie in 1978, director Bryan Singer attempts to revive the first superhero that hit theatres. Of course, Singer had two different audiences to please: the young audience that expected great special effects and entertaining characters, and the audience that grew up with the super hero and anticipated a film just as great as when Christopher Reeve played Superman. The Da Vinci Code

Obviously it's hard to accurately adapt a novel into a movie. Already having read Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, I eagerly anticipated the release of Ron Howard's film. I absolutely loved the book; it was smart, exciting, fascinating, and fun. To my surprise, so was the movie. Over the Hedge

Dreamgirls

From the very beginning, Dreamgirls takes you on a memorable ride into the 60's. The rolling sounds of Motown music and rock n' roll surround this story about a singing group with a striking resemblance to the Supremes. Although credit is given to director Bill Condon (also screenwriter for Chicago [2002]) for his creative adaptation from Broadway music to film, everyone comes out of the theatre talking about Jennifer Hudson's amazing debut.
