Aries (March 21 - April 20)
It's been quite the summer so far and the month of August is going to be exceptional. Get outdoors, socialize, and absorb the summer sunshine while you've got so much going for you. Loved ones and children are going to be a big part of your summer fun this month. You will enjoy doing things as a family unit while single Aries folks can basque in all of the romantic attention you'll be receiving this month. Things won't be boring this August. On the 10th, your enthusiasm might dip due to a chilly Saturn square, but Aries is not a sign to stay down for long and by the 13th, you'll be motivated in a big way to finally chase that creative dream you've had on the back burner all summer. You know the one.
Taurus (April 21 - May 21)
Focus will be on home and family this month. On the 5th, a full moon lunar eclipse will make everyone edgy, but for the Taurus, arguments about money and how it's being spent may come out of nowhere. Don't seek showdowns or stir up trouble, as this isn't the month to make changes. Your home will be a busy place this month. Perhaps you want to spruce the old place up a bit by hanging a few pictures and adding a coat of paint? On the 20th, the new moon will inspire you to get going on any home related projects you feel necessary, so jump in and start. You have had many career opportunities lately and this same new moon may bring an opportunity for yet another career breakthrough. Be on the lookout for unexpected news in this area.
Gemini (May 22 - June 21)
Your mind will be roaming this month, Gemini, and this is just the way you like it. Communication will be the name of the game in August and all sorts of opportunities will come along to tweek your mental capacities. You love interesting conversations with witty and smart opponents and you are never at a loss when it comes to delivering a few zingers yourself. You will want to talk this month, so have those conversations that are important to you while you can. One thing to be on the look out for is negativity. Don't allow bickering and gossip to upset the apple cart. Use your words wisely, as only you can.
Cancer (June 22 - July 22)
Rash spending isn't the way to go this month, Cancer. Nor is slapping down your rent money on a whim in Las Vegas a good idea, either. Hang on to your money because as the month wears on, you'll see just how fast it can go. If you can do that, then you will be able to concentrate on the bigger issue this month which will be relationships. The planet Pluto is a slow mover, taking many years to complete a cycle. Recently, this big guy moved into your house of partnerships and he has no intentions of leaving anytime soon. Pluto takes his sweet time to finish up a cycle, actually well over a decade, and when he's finished with us, nothing will be the same. He hovers in the background and you'll hardly notice he's there. But he is - and he's seriously operating beneath the surface. Therefore, if you are in a commited relationship, you may start to sniff out changes that are occuring, not necessarily good or bad changes, but changes nonetheless. You could suddenly find yourself wanting to take your relationship to the next level - or, you could suddenly find you've grown sick and tired of the entire situation and will move on to greener pastures and never look back. You hate drama, but you need to remember that you are pretty good at delivering it yourself. Love and money will be your issues this month. So what else is new?
Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Oh, how you love August, Leo! And this August will be no exception. It's going to be all about you and you'll crave all of the attention you'll be getting. You'll want to get outside and play hard because you'll have a strong desire for action. Leo's are leaders and initiator's and everyone will want to jump on your bandwagon just to be a part of the scene. On the 23rd, the Sun will leave the sign of Leo and enter practical and down to earth Virgo. At this time, you can self-reflect and catch up on some much needed R&R as you concentrate on getting your dreams and goals back on track. Virgo (August 23 - September 23)
All matters that are private and confidential will come into play this month. It's time to concentrate on you, your inner thoughts, private matters, and behind the scenes events. Taking time for a little self-analysis won't hurt, either. The month before your birthday month begins is usually a quiet time - but as soon as August 23rd kicks off, it will be all about you again as the Sun enters your sign. Take this quiet time and use it wisely. Just don't dream up troubles or make the world's problems your own. On the 10th, don't allow responsibility to overwhelm you. Libra (September 24 - October 23)
It's a great month to make contact with new and old friends, or to participate in group events of all kinds. No one has to tell a Libran how to be social, but this month affords all sorts of opportunities to get out and about with friends, family, and the rest of the planet. This will not be a month without it's ups and downs. Issues of romance, family and career will also be tossed into the mix, causing you to feel overwhelmed at times. Don't rush things. If you push now, a big plan could fall apart or something could end. Be patient this month, Libra. Maintain that unique balance and captivating charm that is exclusively yours. Next month will be better.
Scorpio (October 24 - November 22)
Things could get intense this month, but this is nothing that a true Scorpio can't handle. Don't be afraid to lay down the law if you feel people can't be trusted. August won't be an easy month, but you'll have the tenacity to flow with things as they progress. Your career is also in the spotlight this month, so don't let personal issues get out of hand. It's a great time to meet with bosses and superiors, as you'll be brimming with enthusiasm to get the job done. People know they can rely on you, so pursue your career ambitions and strike while the iron is hot. Sagittarius (November 23 - December 21)
You'll want to spend like there's no tomorrow this month, Sag. And you know you can't do that! I hate to burst your beautiful bubble here, but the plastic and the cash need be put away, under lock and key, out of site and out of reach from eager hands that can't wait to spend it. You'll be feeling pretty good this month and thus, you'll want to spend. Mars will be on duty in your house of one-to-one relationships and because of your giving and jubilant nature, you may get the urge to spend lavishly on your partner. This is a wonderful idea if you can afford it. If you can't, you will pay the Piper next month when the bills start crawling in. And I know how much you hate it when those bills start crawling in. It just puts such a damper on absolutely everything! You've been warned.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 20)
Exercise care in borrowing, lending, or spending this month, Capricorn. You don't often get carried away on the wings of fantasy but August is a time when it can happen. There will be a Full Moon Eclcipse in your house of money on the 5th and surprises or unexpected glitches can occur, throwing you for a loop. You don't want this to happen, so be prepared! It's a month that will have its good and bad moments, mostly surrounding finances. Control will be essential. As far as your relationships go, beware of anger issues from the 8th through the 10th. It could get mighty frustrating then. Give others their space and concentrate on your own ambitions instead of power struggles that just don't work. After the 22nd, it will start to get better. Hang in there.
Aquarius (January 21 - February 19)
You've had Jupiter, the planet of luck, hovering in your sign all year and I certainly hope you've been taking full advantage of this bountiful bounty? Jupiter only comes around every twelve years, so don't waste all of the good that is orbiting your sphere lately. August is usually a month that brings a few frustrations to Aquarians, mainly in the partnership arena. On the 5th, there is a full moon in your sign and it might bring unexpected shakeups to your current partnerships, so be prepared. Try to be objective and allow others to set the pace. Towards the end of the month, Venus will come to your rescue, allowing earlier fears and negative emotions to fade. Take the weekend of the 22nd to collapse somewhere dreamy, away from all of the craziness. And do it preferably with your partner!
Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Don't allow feelings to overwhelm you during the first week, Pisces. There will be a Full Moon Eclipse on the 5th, causing people everywhere to appear a bit batty. You'll have more important issues to deal with as the month wears on, starting with your health. It's summer, it's August, and it's a great time to get out and do something. Consider health and diet issues this month, as starting a new exercise plan or food program could have you looking totally Hot by the holidays! The sun in Leo will eagerly help you on your way if you care to start now. People will appear argumentive this month, Pisces, so let things roll off your back. Remind yourself that you do not want to get involved. You don't need outside problems burdening you now, as you have enough on your own plate as it is. It's been a rough ride for Pisceans ever since October 2007. Trust me when I say that it will get better soon, around Halloween to be exact. So hang in and stand tall. The best is yet to come.
