He proposed, you said yes. Congratulations you are now engaged! Now you have to plan your wedding. This can be a major undertaking depending on how big you want to go. Do you coordinate it by yourself or hire someone? Who would you use to do the photography, the video, the flowers, and all the other associated services that you would need for your wedding? Many will ask friends and family for recommendations from people they may have already used. Fortunately for couples in this situation there are also Bridal Shows, a one-stop research center that is a great aid in planning. On Oahu, there are two major companies that put on two shows each. It happens every year in January and July at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall and in April and October at the Convention Center.

The convenience of the Bridal Show is that lets you meet the vendors and to ask questions, get a feel for their personality and whether you would like to work with them or not.  You can also see or sample their style and get to price what you may need to spend. In each of these shows there is a long list of vendors and services to see. The following is a sampling of the services and products offered. There may be more or less depending on the individual show.

As you can see there are a lot to see and consider, not to mention that in any service or product there may be several different companies that offer the same service but with different emphasis, style and price. You will have a lot of choices to sort through.

We can help you with all your jewelry concerns and questions, but we could not tell you what you should be looking for in each of the other services, since that is not our expertise. This is why these bridal shows are so helpful. Each of these companies is there to help you sort out your priorities and budget for your wedding. There are other companies that do not participate in these bridal shows and you would have to drive to each in order to get information. The bridal shows certainly help to cut down your driving and saves you time.
