How many times have you gone to a Web site and said, "cool. I should bookmark this" only then to realize, "yeah, but I've got too many bookmarks already. I don't know where to file this thing and I'll probably never find it again anyway".
I have something for you: http://del.icio.us. That's got to be the weirdest URL I've ever see but it's correct. D-E-L dot I-C-I-O dot U-S. Or you can just type "delicious" in Google and it’s the first link (which should tell you how popular this thing is).
Delicious is a "social bookmarks" manager. It lets you easily post all your bookmarks and adds the ability to "tag" those bookmarks and then search through them. So, for example, you might decide to bookmark Peter Kay's Column and then give it tags like "peter kay column long hair ugly". Later on, searching for any of those tags will bring up the link.
Other things that make delicious really cool is that the bookmarks can be shared. Want to see my bookmarks? Just go to http://del.icio.us/peterkay . Want to see my surf bookmarks? http://del.icio.us/peterkay/surf . Want to SEND me a bookmark? Just add the tag "for:peterkay" in your own delicious bookmark. I'll receive it and can post it in my own list, if I want. (Just don't send me any long haired ugly columnists, OK?)
What I love the most about delicious is that it's this infinite black hole that lets me save any cool site I want. Because I can tag and then search, I know that if I ever do want to visit that site again, I won't have to spend half an hour digging through a huge list of bookmarks on my browser.
