As I told you last time, I was able to attend a bunch of press conferences and 4 really enjoyable events that showcased many of the 2700 exhibitors products. CES Unveiled, Digital Experience, Lunch at Pieros and Showstoppers do a really great job of putting the press together with the products in a farless hectic environment than the exhibit hall(s).
Still, it's pretty hard to pick favorites with such a super group of companies, but I have done my best to select "goodies" I think will interest you as they did me. So, without further ado...here goes:

HiSAVER
Vampire power was a topic of great debate at the Consumer Electronics Show. Several products aim to stop the slow drain of power by gadgets in standby mode, but few promise to do so as completely as HiSaver does. The product attacks vampire power in a truly unique way: A motion-sensor on top of your PC controls a custom power strip and detects activity--your activity, that is. Step away from your computer for a set period of time and the device shuts off your power strip. After all, why would your printer need to be on if you're getting a diet soda?
HiSaver also notes that its system does what few others do: completely eliminate vampire power. Some systems take your gadgetry down to a handful of watts, rather than the tens they may otherwise consume. Once you shut down your PC for the evening, and HiSaver's motion detector notes the absense of activity, it'll shut itself off too. Bye bye, wasted energy!
MY DITTO
The everywhere business and home network server product.
For those always on the run and traveling about, and especially for those who never seem to quite get organized, Dane-Elec introduces the everywhere you go business and home network server, myDitto.
The myDitto server allows business professionals, students and home consumers to access their server information wherever they are, through an easy-to-use lightweight USB key; eliminating third-party providers, unnecessary costs and providing rapid, peer-to-peer connection to remote files.
