HELP ME WITH RATINGS

In this recipe we use dry ingredients .There is no cooking required and easy to mix. This can be completed in one hour and that includes bagging the seasoning salt. This is an elegant and tasty seasoning mixture. It can be used for grilling meats, fish, or veggies. Also as a rub for baking a chicken or turkey. Add to your favorite recipes instead of plain salt. As the cooking takes place the aromas of the herbs are released. The smells will drive the neighbors wild.

Supplies

Supplies Needed:

1 large bowl
1 spatula
1 pkg. of clear gift bags

Ingredients with labels

Ingredients Needed:

32 oz. bag Hawaiian Sea Salt
6 to 8 tea bags ( Chamomile, mint, green tea, any loose tea) 1/4 cup dried lavender
1/4 cup dried orange peel or lemon or lime Optional herbs: rosemary, mint, oregano if you cannot find lavender. In this recipe I use lavender from my garden. I dried the buds to use for cooking.

Ingredients in bowl

...with spatula in bowl

Mix all ingredients in a bowl with spatula until thoroughly mixed. Then use a scoop to pour into gift bags. A little of this seasoned salt goes a long way. I portion 1/2 cup mix into the bags. Seasoned salt should be used within 4 weeks. Keep stored in dry place. Experiment with your own kitchen herbs and favorite teas. This delightful seasoned salt is fun to give to the chef's in your life. Enjoy.

Next month I will share my recipes for Wild Blueberry Chicken Salad, Lavender Lemon Cake, and a recipe for doggie cookies. Email me with any questions. Have fun.
