HELP ME WITH RATINGS

Welcome to Kimo's Vegas, The Players Edge!

This month on Around Hawaii, Part II of the Secrets of the Zig Zag Slot Machine Method.

I cannot stress enough that slot machines are required by law to be fair and in Nevada all slot machines must payback at least 75% of all the money they take in. At the big name casinos Downtown and on the Strip the payback percentages are likely to be 92% or better.

Slot machine payouts cannot be manipulated by the casino or its employees and each outcome must be completely random. There is no switch that allows the casino’s to make the machines loose or tight.

If you stop and think about it, this is a double edged sword if the casino has no control over the machines there is no way that anyone else can predict when a slot machine will hit including the folks who make (slot manufacturers)  the machines and the guys (slot techs) who work on them.

Even Elmer Sherwin the only person to win TWO Megabucks Jackpots will tell you that there is no secret to spotting a winning machine he says “I’ve always been lucky”!

The secret slot machine methods sold on the internet for $9.95 to $49.99 are pure fantasy and like all get rich quick schemes the only people getting rich quick are the guys selling the scheme. They are cleverly designed to separate you from your money.

The second Zig Zag Method suggests that you can predict a jackpot by walking around and looking at the position of the reels on the slot machines.

The secret they claim is to look for a pattern of identical symbols in an X or V pattern.

According to the secret this will only work if all the symbols are exactly the same, in this image the triple bars.

The only problem with this system is that it doesn’t work. Remember each outcome must be random for the machine to be approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission and placed into the casinos. That said any pattern can be followed by any other pattern including both winning and non-winning patterns.

Next time you see one of these guaranteed winning secrets on the internet send me the money or save it for a deserving slot machine on your next trip.

However there are many quality websites and books that offer helpful information about slot machines and gambling. The easiest ways to tell the Good, the Bad and the Ugly from each other is Good will never guaranty a win. If it’s too good to be true it probably is.

Next month here on Oceanic’s Around Hawaii we’ll talk about the best way to win in Vegas! For the latest Vegas news and more Kimo’s Vegas visit us at www.KimosVegas.com.
