HELP ME WITH RATINGS

Welcome to Kimo’s Vegas, the Players Edge!

Bette Midler - The Show Girl Must Go On

It’s no secret that Las Vegas has been hit hard by the current economy.

In response to people traveling and spending less, just about everything in Vegas is on sale. Right now you’d have to work hard not to get a good deal.

Players who are rated or have a line of credit in the casino are used to getting their room’s comp’ed. Some even get food, limo service or even free show tickets.

But how can we regular folks get free or almost free show tickets?

Cirque du Soleil - Beatles: Love

Before you go you can easily save 20% to 60% by signing up for the Cirque du Soleil Club or shopping online at TravelZoo or GoldStar.

If you’re in town a good (i.e. cheap) way to get tickets is at Tix4Tonight, right behind the giant Coke bottle on the strip (other outlets are in the Hawaiian Marketplace, Fashion Show Mall, next to the Riviera, at Bill’s Casino or downtown in the 4 Queens). They sell ½ price tickets for shows happening that night. The outlets open at 10a.m. but get there early for the best selection of shows. On their web site there’s a coupon to save $2 on the service charge.

Penn & Teller - Rio Hotel

I haven’t seen every show in Vegas but I’ve been to quite a few and my favorites are:

  • Headliner – Bette Midler… no one works harder or is more entertaining than this Radford High School grad.
  • Musical – Jersey Boys at the Venetian is a great show even if you’re too young to relate to the music.
  • Production Show – Cirque du Soleil Beatles: Love another great show even if you didn’t know Paul McCartney used to be in this band.
Terry Fator & His Cast of Thousands
  • Ventriloquist – 2007 winner of America’s got talent Terry Fator.
  • Magic Show – David Copperfield we’re not in the Pagoda Hotel’s, C’est Si Bon anymore Toto.
  • Comedy Magic – Penn & Teller, get their early Penn jams with keyboard player Mike Jones for about an hour before the show.
  • Daytime Show – Mac King, where safe for the whole family doesn’t mean boredom for mom n’ dad. Get a 2 for 1 coupon at the slot club.
  • Cabaret show – Wayne Brady he knows the lyrics and makes stuff up.
