Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why am I receiving this Newsletter?
As a Road Runner customer, you automatically gain the advantage of hearing news - important to you - before anyone else does. Exclusive discounts on concert tickets, community event information, the newest Pay-Per-View releases, online contests and promos, the latest Kupa`a card discounts, featured columns from AroundHawaii.com, Network Status reports, etc... all at your fingertips. We will also offer "newsletter-only" specials from time to time that you won't find anywhere else.

  • Who is sending out this newsletter?
Putting the newsletter together and sending it out to you takes the collaborative efforts of many departments from your local, Hawaii affiliate. These include - but are not limited to - the content development team, marketing department, technical support staff and broadband network services team.

  • How often is this newsletter sent out?
The Oceanic `Ohana Newsletter is sent out once a month, usually during the first full week of the new month. Due to the sheer quantity of email addresses, however, this may span over a 6-7 day period for the "sends" to be completed.

  • Why am I receiving multiple copies of the same, exact newsletter?
The newsletter is sent to both Master as well as Sub-user accounts. Customers will receive more than one copy in their inbox if their POP client inbox is configured to receive/check more than one of their @hawaii.rr.com accounts.

  • Why don't any of the images show up in my newsletter?
Most of the images in the newsletter reference back to our AroundHawaii.com web site. If you read the newsletter through webmail (webmail.hawaii.rr.com), you may notice that it uses the https protocol on the rr.com domain. When you first log into webmail, you may see a prompt that says "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?", If you click "No" to the prompt, none of the images will be able to load because the images are not coming from the rr.com domain. To resolve this issue, just click on the empty banner at the top of the page labeled "Oceanic - Time Warner Cable of Hawaii". This will open the Newsletter Options page in a new window, where you would simply click on the "View This Month's Newsletter" link.

  • Why am I getting a "404 Not Found" error on certain links?
Monthly specials often expire once the month is over. Simply log into your AroundHawaii.com account and go back to www.aroundhawaii.com/rr/newsletter/newsletter.htm for the latest copy (must be a registered AroundHawaii Account holder with a verified Road Runner account).

  • How do I get my Kupa`a Key-Z?
Customers may claim their Key-Z tag in two ways. They may order it on the Internet or, they may simply call the Kupa`a Key-Z Customer Care line at 643-5399. It's free to all qualifying Oceanic customers.

  • How do I unsubscribe?
To unsubscribe, go to the unsubscribe page and type in the name of the email account you want removed from the `Ohana Newsletter list.

  • I am forwarding my @hawaii.rr.com email to another account. How do I unsubscribe?
We cannot remove non @hawaii.rr.com email addresses from the list. In order to unsubscribe in this situation, you would need to go to the unsubscribe page and type in the name of the Road Runner email account you want removed from the `Ohana Newsletter list (the address that is doing the forwarding to your other email address).

  • I have already unsubscribed. Why am I still receiving this newsletter?
We are very adamant about honoring your unsubscribe requests. If you are still receiving the Oceanic `Ohana Newsletter even after you have unsubscribed, there may be a few reasons for this: 1) you may have entered in an incorrect/invalid account name when unsubscribing, 2) you are receiving a copy to a sub account that you have not unsubscribed from (see bullet point 4 above), 3) you have created a new sub account.

There may also be newsletters that are disguised or appear to be Oceanic or Road Runner newsletters that are not affiliated with Oceanic or the Oceanic `Ohana Newsletter. Road Runner National also sends out their own Newsletter that we do not have any control over locally. Please be sure that the newsletter you are looking at is the official Oceanic `Ohana Newsletter that is generated right here in Hawaii.
