About Me:
Kim was born and raised in Mililani and graduated from Mililani High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Chaminade University of Honolulu in Communication (Journalism / Psychology) and her Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She works full-time as the Marketing and Compliance Director for Hawaii Electricians Market Enchancement Program, in conjuction with IBEW Local Union 1186/the Electrical Contractors of Hawaii (ECAH). She also works full-time as a college professor, teaching jointly for the University of Phoenix, and University of Hawaii (Leeward Community College).
On top of all of that, Kim is the Co-Founder and PR/Marketing Director for Team Move Hawaii, a fitness organization that caters to residents of Leeward and Central Oahu; offering personal training, fitness classes, swim lessons, and more.
Among other projects she's proud and grateful to have been a part of was hosting and producing two very successful local television shows. Most recently, was 'Hawaii... Beyond Paradise' and prior to that, 'HEROES,' both on OC-16. Both shows expressed her love and passion for the people of Hawaii. Much of her free time is spent as a freelance writer, and has had her works published in Your Health Honolulu, Hawaii Luxury Magazine, Star- Bulletin/Midweek, Hawaii Parent Magazine, Makai Ocean Lifestyle Magazine, Smart Magazine, Hawaii Filipino Chronicle, and Island Scene Online. She consults with and freelances for many businesses and publications within the State of Hawaii and on the U.S. Mainland, providing work for these organizations' creative services palettes.
She loves spending time at the beach, reading, writing, and doing things with her hands such as sewing, crafts, and cooking/baking, and spending time with her family and friends. The most rewarding job for Kim, she says, is being a mommy. Says Kim, 'It's the greatest job I've ever had... with the most benefits any job has ever offered me ... someone who laughs at my dry jokes, kisses me no matter what I look like, but most of all, a great son who loves me unconditionally!'
