About Me:
This is a good week for me to see your place, I feel lucky to find you. I teach my son for nearly 15 years, using Mr. Hogan method. I remember when he was 12 until 15 years old we always brought "5 lessons" to the range, and we studied Hogan's swing religiously. As a result from learning Hogan’s ways, my son Rory did very well in his Jr. days with AJGA tournaments. He was a 3-time AJGA Rolex First team All American, two Canon Cup team, won some AJGA/US national amateur tournaments (and with some tournament course records, one of them in Hawaii College tournament 2008 in Wahu?), and was in first team JR and first team college all American, California player of the year and member of European Challenge tour, Asian tour, and Asean tour. Won Mercedes-Benz Masters Indonesia in the second pro debut. As we went deeper study in golf, he tried to be a good wind player, but we didn’t quite understand what Mr. Hogan did with his lower body, hips and footwork. I know what his supination theory was but I don't have the confidence to apply to Rory’s swing, so we used Mr. Knudson’s book. At that crossroad I let him follow his will toward his idol Tiger’s swing, and we “betrayed” Mr. Hogan advices some years now. We experimented with Leadbetter, McLean books and often visited my friend who is Mac O' Grady’s assistant. At one point he hurt his back and wrist due to Stack and tilt experimentation In short He has some game but shortly after he turned pro, he mis a lot of cut, he had problems with hips stalling, and his swing could not withstand under pressure especially in to the wind. This might consequently affect his mental and decision-making on the course, and lately his patience run out easily (not as eager as he was in the college days). His awareness is not as sharp as it used to be. I try to just “conceal” this in front of him as much as I can, so as not to hurt his feelings. But we still had some arguments…. I let him read your article especially on spine engine and getting stuck, but he didn’t know how as to the application. I plan to visit your place in the future, but as I reside in Indonesia I can’t be too certain. If you have a time please click on youtube.com type roryhie, I will put some recent swing on you tube for you. sorry for my grammar due to my second Language in English. Regards,
