Jan-Michelle Sawyer specializes in creating contemporary and realistic figurative and portrait sculptures in bronze.With a Ph.D. in Humanities, Jan-Michelle is also an educator who divides her time between working at her California sculpting studio in Nevada City and living in Hawaii.She has been recognized in Hawaii and nationally for her sculptures of Hawaiiana images including bronze portraits of famed musicians Gabby "Pops" Pahinui and Israel "Bruddah IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole.
