Thomas Deniz and the Konawaena football team will host Kamehameha-Hawaii at approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Big Island Interscholastic Federation season finale for both teams. The contest against the Warriors is the Wildcats' homecoming game.

It looks as if the enthusiasm generated by the Ford Ironman World Championship is still going strong. Just last Sunday, Team Mango had its largest turnout of the year with close to 50 multisport maniacs showing up for the Post-Ironman Sprint Triathlon. The 1/3-mile swim, 10-mile bike ride and two-mile run was the perfect way to entice a lot of first timers as well as experienced triathletes who had taken a little time off to show up and test themselves on a short but challenging course.
