Oceanic Time Warner Cable and Road Runner recommend that all PC users periodically update their version of Windows by downloading and installing the latest critical security patches at Windows Update. While viruses can come from anywhere, use proven strategies to minimize your chances of infection:

1) Check Windows Update regularly and install Critical Updates.
2) Insure that your AntiVirus program is updated with the latest definitions and engine.
3) Consider a Firewall software or hardware solution.

Macintosh OS X, is NOW currently supported by Road Runner and the National Help Desk. Please be aware that the minimum requirements for installation on Road Runner has changed as of October 1, 2003.

Windows 95/98 Users: Due to the recent lack of vendor support of Microsoft Windows 95/98, Road Runner will provide only "best effort" technical support for users of Windows 95/98. Road Runner subscribers with Windows 95/98 are encouraged to upgrade.
