Setup REMINDER: Road Runner Hawaii does not support the Macintosh Eudora Mail program. This help file is simply provided as a guide to help set things up for Road Runner mail. Questions/problems with Eudora Mail should be sent to Qualcomm.
There are several versions of Eudora available for the Macintosh. Regardless of which you're using, the instructions for configuration are basically the same: - Open Eudora. If the Password dialog box appears, click Cancel.
- Click on the Special menu and select Settings.
- Click on the Getting Started category on the left and fill in the information as follows.
--> Where it says POP account, type in your Road Runner username plus "pop-server.hawaii.rr.com" (i.e. "alohaj001@pop-server.hawaii.rr.com") and where it says Real name, type in your full name [SHOW ME].
- Click on the Personal Information category and fill in the information as follows.
--> The POP account and Real name sections should automatically be filled out (leave these settings as is). Under Return address, type in your Road Runner email address (i.e. "alohaj001@hawaii.rr.com") [SHOW ME].
- Click on the Hosts category and fill in the information as follows.
--> The POP account should automatically be filled out (leave this setting as is). Next to SMTP, type in "smtp-server.hawaii.rr.com" [SHOW ME].
- Click on the Checking Mail category and check to see if the settings are as follows.
--> The POP account should automatically be filled out (leave this setting as is). Usually, leaving everything as the default settings works fine. Be sure to uncheck the option to Leave mail on server, otherwise you will have to repeatedly download every message - new AND old - whenever Eudora checks your mail [SHOW ME].
- Click on the Sending Mail category and check to see if the settings are as follows.
--> The Return address and SMTP server sections should automatically be filled out (leave these settings as is). Double-check everything else [SHOW ME].
- Click OK.
- Exit Eudora.
