Depending on how you use the Internet, you may need to add to the list of proxy server exceptions. By listing a web address in the exceptions window, you will bypass Road Runner proxy server to reach that particular site. You will only need to add exceptions for sites that, for whatever reason, you can't reach after you turned on the Proxy Server.
Here is an example:
You use a Microsoft Exchange Server for your e-mail at the office. Your system administrator has enabled the Exchange web browser access so you can check your office e-mail from home. In your browser, you would normally go to mail.company.com to reach your server. But with the Road Runner proxy turned on, you can no longer access this server. The solution is to add this address to the exception area as shown below.

It would be impossible for Oceanic or Road Runner to know how YOU use the Internet. In other words, you could certainly have other "exceptions" that we couldn't have anticipated. If you have a problem reaching a web site that you didn't before you turned on the proxy server, try adding it to the exceptions window.
