From Netscape Navigator 4.0, go to the Edit Menu and select Preferences.
Double click on the Advanced category on the left and select Proxies from the drop down menu. Select Manual proxy configuration on the right and click on the View button. (Select the Direct connection button if you wish to turn OFF the Proxy Server).
After you click on the View button, you will see the window below. Type in proxy-server.hawaii.rr.com and (port) 8080 as illustrated.
IMPORTANT: Also, enter ams-server.hawaii.rr.com (as of January 2000, this setting should now have a hawaii.rr.com suffix) and update-server.hawaii.rr.com as illustrated below separated by a comma. You may need to add your own Proxy Server exceptions as needed.
Click on the OK button to set your adjusted settings (a browser restart may be necessary to reflect your new settings).
