WHO can sign up for an AroundHawaii member account?
Anyone can register for an AroundHawaii member account. Road Runner Hawaii customers can additionally earn "premiere" status by verifying that they are a Road Runner customer within their AroundHawaii member account settings. This will make exclusive Road Runner Hawaii content (including Road Runner account management tools, special 
downloads, streaming media, and an online version of the monthly `Ohana newsletter) available and display a special Road Runner icon next to their member name.
WHAT is the AroundHawaii member account?
With the exception of Streaming Media (which requires you to be on a Road Runner Hawaii connected computer), ALL content on AroundHawaii.com is completely open and viewable to the public (we don't believe in forcing people to register for an account to view content like some other sites). We do, however, believe in creating a sense of community for you loyal visitors. That's where your AroundHawaii member account comes in. The optional registration process opens a whole new world to you, including the ability to create a member profile page (with your interests, favorite web site links, images, etc.), and the power to rate and post comments on your favorite articles, OC16 television shows or local restaurants.
WHEN was the AroundHawaii member account registration process implemented?
The AroundHawaii.com redesign came complete with the community/member account system, which was launched in late March/early April of 2007. We've got even more exciting things planned just for you so stay tuned!
WHERE can I sign up for an AroundHawaii member account?
On the upper right hand side of this page, you will see an orange box that has a link that says Create an Account. Specifically, the direct link is here: https://secure.aroundhawaii.com/members/signup.html.
WHY was the AroundHawaii member account feature implemented?
As mentioned in the "WHAT" section above, the optional registration process gives you the ability to create your own member profile page (with your interests, favorite web site links, images, etc.), and empowers you to rate and post comments on your favorite articles, OC16 television shows or local restaurants. Additionally, the double opt-in registration process discourages those pesky comment spammers from registering, thereby protecting you from their annoying ways.

Why do I have to sign up for an AroundHawaii member account?
Registering for an AroundHawaii member account is completely optional. As mentioned above, all content is wide open to the public and accessible without the need to register for an AroundHawaii member account. If you want to become a part of the AroundHawaii `Ohana/community, with the ability to create your own AroundHawaii.com member profile page, and rate and post comments on your favorite features across the site, then you should register for an account and join in on all the fun! :)
Is this the same as Webmail?
No. Your Road Runner Hawaii email account name and password (used to access your Road Runner email at the Road Runner Webmail web site) will not work on AroundHawaii.com and vice-versa, your AroundHawaii member account name and password will not work in Webmail. Webmail can be accessed here: webmail.hawaii.rr.com. You can, however, input your Road Runner account and password within the AroundHawaii profile settings to "unlock" special Road Runner Hawaii-only content.
How do I edit my profile?
You must first register for an AroundHawaii account, log in, and then click on Edit my profile. Click here for the detailed help file.
How do I rate and post comments?
You must first register for an AroundHawaii account and log in. Once you are logged in, any and all content (including articles from Local Experts, restaurant reviews and OC16 shows in community, this help file itself, etc.) can be rated and reviewed.
