After going through the Create an Account process and confirming your account through your registered email, you're ready to log in! On the upper right hand side of every AroundHawaii.com page, you will see an orange login box. Enter your registered AroundHawaii User name and password - NOT your Road Runner account/password - and click on SignIn (to manage your Road Runner accounts/passwords, go here: http://www.aroundhawaii.com/member_services/).

Log into AroundHawaii.com

Once you sign in, the orange login box will turn into your AroundHawaii control panel. From here, you will see your default avatar, your login status and name, and links to view your profile, edit your profile and logout. Let's edit your profile by clicking on the appropriate link.

Edit my profile link

In this section of the Edit My Profile page, you are able to verify that you are a Road Runner Hawaii customer (for exclusive content), change your AroundHawaii account password, and change your primary email address (registered with your AroundHawaii account).

Edit My Profile - Account Maintenance section

To verify that you are a Road Runner Hawaii customer, enter your Road Runner Account ID (e.g. alohaj001) and associated password and click on the Check Now button. This will do a check to see if you are a valid Road Runner Hawaii customer and reward you on the AroundHawaii.com site with access to exclusive Road Runner content and a nifty Road Runner head icon next to your name across the site.

To change your AroundHawaii password or change your primary email address (associated with your AroundHawaii account), click on the appropriate links in this section.

4) Edit my profile page - Optional Items

In this optional section of the Edit My Profile page, you are able to manage the information that goes on your very own AroundHawaii.com profile page (e.g. High School, favorite URLs, personal avatar/photo, short bio, etc.), and whether or not you would like to make it publicly accessible and/or if you wish to be contacted through your profile. Below is an explanation of each field:

• Create a profile for me: Uncheck this box if you do not want your AroundHawaii.com profile accessible by the public (it is public by default). If this is unchecked, your profile will no longer be viewable via your personal URL: www.aroundhawaii.com/members/yourusername/ . When you post comments, your name will also no longer be clickable.
  
• Allow others to contact me via my profile page: Uncheck this box if you would not like to be contacted through your AroundHawaii.com profile page. Not to worry, this will NOT display your email address to the public. Rather, it will create a form on your page that others can use to send a message to you via your profile page. (Either way, please use common sense and be very careful with who you associate with online. See Wiredsafety for more).
  
• Clear Road Runner Status: If you have previously verified your Road Runner Hawaii account in the Account Maintenance section above, a third checkbox field will appear here. Check this if you want to clear your Road Runner account verification status. An example of why you'd want to do this is if you want to use a different Road Runner account name to verify yourself. Please be advised that if you clear your Road Runner status using this checkbox, you will no longer have access to the `Ohana Newsletter online and other Road Runner exclusive content.
  
• State: Choose your State from the drop-down menu.
• Island: Choose your Island from the drop-down menu.
• Town: Enter your home town in this field.
• High School: Enter your high school in this field.
• Gender: Select your Gender from the drop-down menu.
• Personal Web Site: Enter your personal web site URL in this field (be sure to start with http://).
• My Favorite URLs: Enter up to three of your favorite web site URLs in the following three fields (be sure to start with http://).
• Avatar: Click on the Browse... button to search your hard drive for an Avatar photo (! - 80px X 80px max). In addition to appearing on your profile page, this 80x80 avatar is also what shows up next to your comments. A headshot of yourself usually does the trick for the Avatar photo.
  
• Photo: Click on the Browse... button to search your hard drive for a Photo that you want displayed on your profile page (! - 400px max width).
• Tell us a bit about yourself: Fill in this field with something about yourself (! - HTML is disabled).

Edit My Profile - Optional items section

Once you complete the form and press the Submit Form button, you're done! Be sure to check the Create a profile for me checkbox if you would like to make your AroundHawaii.com profile accessible by the public (by default it is not). ENJOY!
